Set up an account

Profile Setup

You can either set up your profile and upload an existing resume or create a new one from scratch. In my case, I uploaded my resume and made some changes.

Then you move to the Professional Summary section. If you have already uploaded your resume, your career summary will reflect in the fields. You can edit and change, but keep it clear and straightforward.
Next, click on Work Experience to input your career highlights. The tab opens, allowing you to fill in your career history, company details, location, duration, and work description.
Interestingly, you can click ‘Regenerate’ for AI to help rewrite and humanize the content in your JD to meet ATS standards. This is especially important so that your work experience accurately reflects the skills and competencies recruiters are looking for.
Once you’re finished, click on Save Changes. You can also add other career highlights from previous experiences.
Next, update the ‘Education’ tab on your profile. If you’ve uploaded your resume, the details will be reflected, and then you can edit them. Otherwise, Smart Applier requires you to add the following:
- Name of institution
- Address
- Degree/qualification
- Start and end dates
- Any additional info
Finally, update the ‘Skills’ sections on your profile. You need to add a minimum of 5 skills and competencies. In case you’re unsure what to add, Smart Applier AI can also generate skills recommendations based on your job description.
Make sure to ‘Save Changes’ each time you complete a section.
Your resume is set for you to use. You can also create a new version of your CV by selecting ‘Create New AI Generated Resume’.
